The PLA was developed completely from scratch. Designed for maximum functional compatibility, it was thoroughly tested using a 24-channel logic analyzer. In extensive tests, no abnormalities were observed.
Further chip replicas that I started in 2022 will follow, as well as replica chips for other consoles and computers.
The PLA replica is delivered fully soldered and ready for immediate plug & play use.
Availability Note: "To ensure the high quality of this public domain project, the source codes and hardware designs are currently being prepared and finalized for publication. Full access to the data will be made available to the public (and thus to all buyers) free of charge in the course of 2027 (as usual, on the wiki page). The hardware is, of course, already fully functional and ready to use."
