With the uAX64 Mini everything started at UNI64 and was the first UNI64 computer. Later a "LONG" version with 9 SLOTs followed.
The "uAX64 Mini FLEX Gold v2" is the successor of the uAX64 Mini / uAX64 Mini LONG and will be delivered exclusively with the surface finish "EING Gold" (limited to 100 pieces - numbered).
The new uAX64 Mini FLEX Gold PCB SET is a new special edition with several improvements. The module board with the SLOTs, the underlying interface board and all cards have been completely revised and improved. New is the USB/BT remote card, which allows to connect normal USB keyboards and Bluetooth keyboards.
The previous optional RGB LED (WS2812) card is now included in the board set and, like the new uLightBox, uses the Raspberry PICO instead of the Teensy 3.5. There are now 14 LEDs instead of 12, as well as a second WS2812 port for additional RGB LEDs behind the 14th LED.
The video card can now be optionally equipped with 6569 or 8565 (PAL or NTSC). A stripe fix is now also included.
The new sound card offers stereo and flexible jumper options including pseudo stereo. Thus it is now possible to use several sound cards. 6581 and 8580 SIDs can be equipped.
The CPU card is now equipped with an EPROM for BASIC/KERNEL/CHARS. An extra Char ROM is no longer necessary.
The module board and the interface board are flexible in length. By separating board parts it is possible to reach the original 100x100mm size with 6 slots. In its normal form, the new uAX64 Mini now has 8 slots, two optional expansion ports and is 137x100mm in size. The two expansion ports are located in the front and on the right side respectively. So everyone can choose the desired place of the expansion port. The expansion ports at the front are rotated by 180° in the new version, so that a module label can be seen from the front. The module label is at the top of the expansion port on the side.
The following PCB boards are delivered (only the unpopulated PCBs, without components):
- Module Board
- Interface board
- Interface board
- CPU card
- RAM board
- Video Card
- Sound Card
- Remote Keyboard Card USB/BT
- RGB LED (WS2812) Card

On the right side of the interface card you can additionally plug a Pi1541 Zero via an adapter board, so you would have a 1541 "OnBoard".
